Sadhu boards for legs and back - what is the difference?
The size of the board depends on its purpose. Smaller boards are for the feet, larger ones for the back. Sadhu boards can be monolithic or folding. Modern models consist of two halves. When folded, the nails are hidden in the opposite board - you get a compact small box, convenient for carrying and storage. The parts of the board are detachable: you can put them at a convenient distance from each other.
Board for the feet
When standing on the nails, the acupuncture points that are located on the feet are worked on. Each point is connected to a specific internal organ or a whole system in the human body. Such impact on the points is extremely useful, which is confirmed by scientific research. Pressure on reflex points accelerates metabolism, maintains the internal balance of the body and strengthens health. Relieves emotional tension, the nervous system more effectively copes with stress, improves sleep. Board for the back
A board with nails for the back is much larger. It is considered easier to lie on your back than to stand. This is due to the larger area of contact between the body and the board and the smaller number of nerve endings in this area. The weight of the body is more evenly distributed on the board, which reduces the pressure of the nails on the skin. While lying on the board, the muscles of the back are worked, spasmed areas are relaxed, blood circulation improves and clamps go away. The whole body gradually relaxes and the nervous system calms down. The practice of lying on nails will be both a good preventive measure and an effective addition to the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

When choosing a sadhu board for beginners, the very first and most important factor is the nail pitch, as it directly affects the practice of standing on the nails.
The principle at work here is that the tighter the nails are spaced together, the easier it is to stand on them. So beginners are advised to use boards with minimum nail spacing.
Pitch 8mm - it feels painful, but not critical. Suitable for a gentle entry to the practice of standing on nails. Suitable for those who have increased pain sensitivity and those who purchase the board for initial spiritual practice and health.
Pitch 10mm - standard, optimal option for all beginners. It is suitable for both men and women (depending on physical and moral mood). This is a basic variant, which is suitable for independent mastering.
Pitch 12mm, 13mm, 15mm - suitable for advanced practitioners for whom 8mm and 10mm pitch boards are already too "light" or for people with low pain sensitivity.
Pitch 20mm, 25mm - this nail spacing is suitable for professionals, one has to go through a difficult path of spiritual development to achieve such a goal.
An important factor is the location of the nails!
Nails can be arranged on the board in different types of shapes (square, rhombus, hexagon) or staggered.
Hexagon (flower of life) is considered to be the correct figure. It is by this type that the carnations in our boards are arranged.

Nail Material
Galvanized nails - are the standard version of nails. They are made of steel and coated with zinc, which ensures that the nails do not darken or rust. Galvanized nails are durable and ideal for Sadhu board. These are fairly budget nails that combine the excellent properties of steel and zinc. Steel restores energy balance by absorbing negative energy. Zinc endows one with determination and self-belief, literally pushing one to self-development.
Copper nails. Copper is an excellent conductor. Copper nails perfectly conduct the energy of the Earth, promote grounding and calming. Copper protects from negativity, gives strength and self-confidence. In addition copper has healing properties.

Which better - dynamic or static
Sadhu static board. Sadhu static boards are a classic. For many years since its invention, these are the boards that have been used. In such a board, the nails are firmly fixed and stationary. The nails are fixed in the base of the board strictly at an angle of 90 degrees and form a flat surface on which the weight of the practitioner is distributed. Static model is good for pumping willpower and patience. Such boards differ in the distance at which the nails are placed: from 8 to 25 mm, depending on the level of training. It is the sadhu board with static nails that is considered the "right" board. After all, the practice of standing on nails is a voluntary withdrawal from comfort into a stressful state to consciously overcome pain and fear. And boards with dynamic nails are a lighter version of the classic
sadhu board.
Sadhu board with dynamic nails. In such a board, the nails "float" due to the special springy material inside the boards. The nails move vertically within 3-5 mm.
The human foot is not flat; it has its own shape with curves and convexities. The surface of the board

Walnut wood is a universal and one of the most aesthetic materials, besides, it tolerates temperature fluctuations well, has sufficient resistance to moisture and rot.
Ash is a remarkably hard and dense wood with a unique resilience. It has sinuous fiber patterns
that range from fairly straight to remarkable curls. Ash wood is heavy, hard and durable. It is moderately dries, has low water permeability, and is well polished and worked. Ash wood is one of the best materials for carpentry.
Unlike oak, ash is harder and more durable, has a light wood color and pronounced grain. Ash is less resistant to changes in temperature and humidity than oak. It does not like direct exposure to moisture and is more susceptible to mold.
Thermoash is the well-known ash that has been heat-treated (hence the name)
As a result of the treatment, the wood is brought to the desired shade - from light to dark. The boards are placed in heat chambers from which oxygen has been pumped out. The temperature inside is raised to 160-180 degrees. As a result, the structure of the wood changes - the density increases, excess moisture and binders evaporate, the wood darkens. Thermal modification enhances the natural characteristics of ash wood, creating an extremely strong and stable product with an attractive appearance. As the natural properties of kiln-dried wood are altered, it takes on a rich nut-brown color. It has a pleasant aroma and color without any auxiliary dyes.

EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate foam) is one of the most practical and environmentally friendly materials. It has a unique structure: millions of air-filled micropores
make it light and flexible. It is one of the best cushioning materials.
As a closed-cell foam, EVA foam excels in thermal insulation, cushioning, high flexibility and elasticity, and chemical resistance.
This material is waterproof, mold and mildew resistant, and buoyant. It also has greater tensile and tear strength than other foam materials, making it exceptionally strong, yet lightweight.
EVA has a very low specific gravity. It has excellent shock absorbing properties, ability to absorb and distribute load, good elasticity.
Okume wood is one of the most valuable hardwoods, used mainly for the production of plywood and joinery boards.
